About The Position

This position provides customer service to people using customer or charter services, responding politely and promptly to inquiries and completing required transactions. Additional duties include cargo handling, ramp operations, aircraft cleaning, and other assigned tasks. The role works in an airport environment both indoors and outdoors, including exposure to extreme outdoor temperatures and elevated noise levels.

Requirements

Excellent communication skills.
Ability to push, pull, or lift 50 pounds for extended periods.
Ability to read and write English; bilingual skills are a plus.
Ability to work efficiently under time constraints.
Must be available to work varied hours, including swing and graveyard shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Must be at least 18 years old.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug test and obtain security clearance.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Must be willing to work outdoors in all types of weather and in elevated noise levels within the airport environment.
Must be able to carry a 50-pound suitcase from the floor to 18 inches and carry it in front with both hands for up to 25 feet.
Must have physical dexterity for repetitive tasks and motions, including bending, squatting, kneeling, crawling, twisting, and sustaining those positions for extended periods.
Must have sufficient vision and ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position.

Responsibilities

Provide efficient, friendly service to customers.
Arrange passenger itineraries and fares; issue tickets and refunds; check baggage; and collect excess baggage charges.
Make arrangements for passengers with reservations or standby status, luggage, cabin availability, and in-flight supplies.
Guide passengers between the terminal and aircraft while ensuring a safe path.
Load and unload cargo on and off aircraft and transport cargo between terminals and aircraft.
Physically handle freight and company materials.
Marshal aircraft and equipment.
Operate ground equipment, including tugs and belt loaders.
Clean and service aircraft cabin interiors, including cockpits and lavatories, and drain lavatories.
Use safety-related equipment and provide aircraft de-icing service when needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
