About The Position

The Ramp Service Agent (RSA) works in a fast-paced environment performing below-wing functions to keep flights running smoothly and safely. This is a union-represented position. The role is based in Anchorage and is full-time and regular.

Requirements

• Valid, unexpired driver’s license issued by a U.S. state, U.S. territory, or the District of Columbia.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to get along with others.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. frequently.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, crawl, push, pull, reach, and grasp for multiple hours a day.
• Ability to obtain airport security clearance.
• Ability to perform work according to set procedures.
• Ability to anticipate others’ needs in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work at a constant, quick pace for extended periods outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to learn quickly and understand and interpret flight schedules and airline destination information.
• Good attendance and punctuality record.
• Depending on work location, ability to obtain USPS Mail Handling Certification may be required.
• Ability to communicate in English.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum age of 18.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must obtain and maintain a SIDA badge in good standing.
• Must submit to required post-offer and/or pre-employment drug testing.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of operations with industrial equipment and previous experience.

Responsibilities

• Load and offload luggage and cargo using conveyor belts or forklifts.
• Transport luggage and cargo to various airport locations.
• Maintain ramp and warehouse areas.
• Marshal and push back aircraft.
