About The Position
PSC Group is hiring a full-time Railcar Repair Technician in Pedricktown, New Jersey. The technician safely handles heavy equipment, railcars, and tracks while completing repairs. The role involves interpreting work orders and blueprints or schematics, using basic mechanical skills and tools for welding, cutting, and gouging, and meeting applicable quality and safety standards. Paid on-the-job training is available, and prior experience is not required. Regular on-site attendance and punctuality are required.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old and legally able to work in the United States.
- Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) without restriction and pass any required medical exams.
- Speak, write, and read fluent English.
- Maintain regular on-site attendance and punctuality.
Nice To Haves
- Relevant experience; experience is not required, and paid on-the-job training is available.
- A valid driver's license and/or valid TWIC card may be required, depending on work location.
- Previous military experience and a proven ability to follow procedures.
Responsibilities
- Interpret job work orders and follow blueprints or schematics to perform required repairs.
- Use basic mechanical skills and develop knowledge of machines and tools to weld, cut, and gouge.
- Notify others of materials or equipment needed to complete job tasks.
- Follow safety rules, keep the work area clean, and comply with ARS Environmental Health and Safety Policies.
- Ensure AAR, ARS, and customer quality assurance standards are met.
- Complete other assigned duties needed to finish the task.
