About The Position
This position involves outdoor work with railcars, focusing on preparing them for transport. The role includes battling grime, inspecting doors, removing debris and contaminants using tools like backpack blowers and scraping tools. It is described as gritty and real work in the railcar preparation field.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED or the ability to get one.
- Valid state driver's license.
- A love for teamwork and safety.
- A sense of humor and a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities
- Open and close railcar end doors.
- Inspect railcars for damage, fatigue, and anything suspicious.
- Identify repairs that our team can tackle.
- Climb ladders (16-20 feet high!) and lift up to 50 lbs. throughout your shift.
- Follow all safety procedures.
