About The Position
You will perform the essential cleaning and inspection functions necessary to prepare railcars for transport. This is a manual labor position outside in the weather elements. Climbing ladders in heights of 16-20 feet is required. Lifting up to 50lbs. throughout the shift is required at times.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED or Ability
- Valid state driver's license
- Desire to succeed!!
Responsibilities
- Inspect and assist in opening and closing railcar end doors
- Inspect railcars for damage/fatigue
- Identify repairs that can be performed by Road & Rail Services
- Through the use of backpack blowers and various scraping devices remove all debris and other contaminates which could potentially cause vehicle damage
- Comply with all industry, customer and company safety regulations and operating procedures
