Railcar Automobile Prepper
About The Position
PRS Auto is hiring immediately for individuals to set up Railcars for loading new Automobiles working at the Spring Hill, TN rail terminal! No experience is required in this entry level position as we offer On the Job Training and will teach you everything you need to know in order to be successful on the job. This is an entry-level position with the opportunity for growth for individuals who are interested in a career in the rail industry. We have multiple locations throughout the country and pride ourselves on promoting qualified individuals for future Advancement. Applicants for the Railroad Auto Unloader position must meet the general requirements for employment with the company, according to the Company hiring process.
Requirements
- Must currently live within a 45-minute commute of Spring Hill, TN.
- Possess a valid Driver's License.
- Must be able to pass a 7-year background check and a drug test.
- Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs above your head.
- Must be able to climb various heights (Not afraid of heights).
Responsibilities
- Preparing the railcars for loading of new vehicles.
- Inspecting chocks (tie down devices), doors, decks, grates.
- Cleaning the rails with a backpack blower.
- Looking for defects to be able to repair railcars.
- Performing all work performed on railcars following PRS Auto processes based on the AAR standards and guidelines.
- Bending, squatting, leaning and moving plates to span railcars together.
