About The Position

Clean Harbors is seeking a safety-oriented and reliable Rail Yard Technician in Sterling, Colorado. This entry-level, full-time position involves railcar operations and industrial labor, including physically demanding outdoor work in potentially adverse conditions. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Pay is $23.50 per hour, paid weekly, with overtime. The role offers career growth and advancement opportunities.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience with industrial or manual labor.
Ability to work in adverse environments, including cold and heat.
Strong commitment to health and safety.
Accountability and punctuality.
Ability to perform multiple tasks.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds from the ground to waist level.
Ability to climb up and down vertical ladders.
Ability to reach out, over, and down while exerting force.
Corrected or uncorrected 20/20 eyesight; depth perception is critical.
Good hand-eye coordination.
Ability to operate a forklift (required).
Valid U.S. driver's license.
Updated resume, including most recent employer, is required for consideration.
Must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer; the company cannot sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas, including F1-OPT work authorization.

Railcar experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Comply with safe work practices, policies, and processes, and act safely at all times.
Operate industrial equipment, including a forklift.
Perform general labor throughout the facility, including preparing materials for the incineration process.
Help ensure the safety of oneself and others.
Perform manual tasks such as cleaning up spills while taking necessary safety precautions.
Follow all standard operating procedures.
Perform other duties as required.
