About The Position

Clean Harbors is hiring an entry-level Rail Yard Technician in Sterling, Colorado. The role involves industrial labor, physically demanding outdoor work in potentially adverse conditions, and railcar operations. The position pays $23.50 per hour, paid weekly, with overtime, and offers opportunities for career growth and advancement. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience with industrial or manual labor.
Ability to work in adverse environments, including cold and heat.
Strong commitment to health and safety.
Accountability and punctuality.
Ability to perform multiple tasks.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds from the ground to waist level.
Ability to climb up and down vertical ladders.
Ability to reach out, over, and down while exerting force.
20/20 eyesight, corrected or uncorrected; depth perception is critical.
Good hand-eye coordination.
Ability to operate a forklift.
Valid U.S. driver's license.
Authorization to work for any employer in the United States; the company cannot sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas, including F1-OPT authorization.

Railcar experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Follow safe work practices, policies, and processes, and maintain safety as the top priority.
Operate industrial equipment, including forklifts.
Perform general labor throughout the facility, including preparing materials for the incineration process.
Protect personal safety and the safety of coworkers and others nearby.
Perform manual tasks such as cleaning up spills, taking the precautions necessary to prevent injury.
Follow standard operating procedures.
Perform other duties as required.
