Requirements

Willing to work weekends, holidays, rotating shifts, scheduled and unscheduled overtime.
Fundamental Mechanical Theory knowledge.
Basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

2 years prior industrial mechanical maintenance experience
Experience with various welding and oxy cutting operations
Understanding of basic electrical theory

Responsibilities

Performing routine maintenance, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting spike producing equipment, developing and implementing projects for continuous improvement.
Ensuring equipment produces prime spikes and must attain product knowledge for the purposes of inspection and disposition.
Effectively communicating with the rail spike team, including leadership.
Operation of forging equipment, operation of overhead cranes, operation of the locomotive, housekeeping, and other duties assigned.
Initiating, leading, and upholding safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
