About The Position

Join Pacific Rail Services working at the Norfolk Southern Rutherford Rail Terminal! Start your career in the rail industry with a stable, industry-leading company. We’re hiring Entry-Level Rail Yard Operators. No CDL or prior hostler driving experience required. Full training provided. This posting is for the Rutherford location only. Other locations may have different pay and benefits.

Requirements

• Must be 18+ with a valid driver’s license.
• Pass a 7-year background check.
• Pass the drug test and physical capabilities test.
• Strong communication skills.
• Must live within 45 minutes of Harrisburg, PA (no relocation).

Nice To Haves

• No railroad experience needed.
• No GED or diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Operate jockey trucks to move 53ft trailers, containers, and chassis.
• Perform ground duties: climbing railcars, securing tracks, handling connectors.
• Assist crane operators using hand signals.
• Stack/unstack chassis and load/unload chassis racks.
• Support other tasks in a team-based environment.
