About The Position

HDR is hiring a Rail Bridge CADD Tech/Highway Bridge CADD Tech to support its Transportation Business Group. The role performs bridge and structures drafting assignments using standardized techniques under the direct supervision of an engineer or another technical professional. It prepares engineering drawings and related materials using 2D and 3D computer-aided design software, and produces discipline-specific documentation with accurate annotations on modeling output.

Requirements

• Technical qualification with 3D design software and document management infrastructure.
• Competency with Microsoft Office products and communication tools.
• Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational traits.
• Basic understanding of engineering or architectural concepts.

Nice To Haves

• Associate or technical school degree, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
• Knowledge of standard CAD software such as AutoCAD and MicroStation.
• Attitude and commitment to being an active participant in HDR’s employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Perform bridge and structures discipline-specific drafting assignments using standardized drawing techniques under the direct supervision of an engineer or other technical professional.
• Prepare drawings, details, layouts, sketches, maps, and graphic representations of engineering designs using 2D and 3D computer-aided design software.
• Produce discipline-specific documentation with accurate annotations on all modeling output.
• Perform other duties as needed.
