Veterinary Technician - Radiology
About The Position
BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring an exceptional Radiology Veterinary Technician. This role involves performing advanced diagnostic testing, such as x-rays, computed tomography (CT), nuclear imaging, digital fluoroscopy, and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The technician will also prepare patients for ultrasound, safely restrain patients for procedures, place intravenous catheters, perform phlebotomy, prepare slides for cytology, proficiently perform digital radiographs, and monitor patients during anesthesia or sedation. A passion for mentoring and training co-workers, along with patience and empathy to address client concerns, is highly valued.
Requirements
- Unrestricted, current authorization to work in the U.S. and not require future sponsorship for an employment-based green card.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced emergency and specialty care environment.
- Proficiency in performing digital radiographs.
- Experience with advanced imaging such as CT scans and MRI procedures.
- Experience placing intravenous catheters in all peripheral veins.
- Experience performing phlebotomy.
- Experience preparing slides for cytology.
- Experience preparing patients for ultrasound.
- Experience safely restraining patients for procedures.
- Experience monitoring patients during anesthesia or while sedated.
