Requirements
- Current NYS Veterinary Technician license required
- Minimum 5 years ‘experience as an LVT
- Associate or bachelor’s degree from an AVMA accredited Veterinary Technology school
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as an LVT
- Leadership experience necessary
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years work experience, preferably in a similar position
- Must have animal handling experience, and be able to restrain all species
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must be able to work successfully as part of a team
- Must have ability to remain composed in stressful and emergency situations
- Must be flexible about working additional hours when necessary
- Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and communication skills are essential
- Must be able to follow detailed protocols
- Must neatly and correctly fill out paperwork as necessary

- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, equipment, patients scheduling, and other areas as applicable
