This position performs diagnostic imaging examinations on patients, ensuring the production of quality diagnostic images. It operates equipment to produce diagnostic images according to patient cases and relevant guidelines, ensuring the quality of images is satisfactory for clinical purposes. This position includes Medical Assistant and Phlebotomist responsibilities as well. The role involves great hours, Monday - Friday day shifts, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm with slight fluctuations, with no weekends, holidays, or call. This position may be eligible for a sign on bonus! The technologist ensures accurate patient positioning during radiographic procedures, conducts image operations according to provider requests and other technical factors, and implements radiation safety guidelines and conducts proper radiation protection practices during the imaging process. The role also involves delivering excellent patient care and education before, during, and after diagnostic imaging procedures, and the ability to understand and navigate the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Additional duties may be assigned. Sanford Rural Health Network Facility sites may expand job responsibilities based on the needs of the facility, to include, but not limited to: on-call rotation nights, weekends, and holidays. The role may also perform diagnostic radiology procedures, basic diagnostic radiology tasks, and be aware of general radiology protocols. It may involve mobile imaging, electrocardiogram (EKG), cardiac monitor placement, and dual energy x-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) procedures. Occupational Medicine clinics may have expanded job duties based on facility needs including performing routing testing, and sampling and other technical services to support Occupational Medicine and Employee Health Services, including but not limited to, drug screens, breath alcohol testing and audiograms as well as administrative and/or clinical support.
