About The Position

Operates radiologic and magnetic imaging equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes. Reviews and evaluates developed x-rays, video tape, and computer-generated information to determine whether images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes. Records thorough and accurate patient medical histories. Explains procedures, observes patients to ensure safety and comfort during scan, monitors patients’ conditions and reactions, and reports abnormal signs to a physician. Positions and immobilizes patients on examining table. Arranges imaging equipment and adjusts controls to set exposure time and distance. Records, processes, maintains patient data and treatment records, and prepares reports. Organizes examination rooms ensuring that necessary equipment is ready for use. Performs scheduled maintenance and minor emergency repairs on radiographic equipment. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in relevant field required
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required
  • Learning Agility: Ability to learn new procedures, technologies, and protocols, and adapt to changing priorities and work demands.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with others and contribute to a team environment.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using office software, technology, and relevant computer applications.
