About The Position

Under supervision and according to established policies and procedures, the Radiology Technologist performs accurate and efficient diagnostic exams in all areas of general radiology. The technologist demonstrates good clinical skills and provides high-quality images for interpretation, applies radiation-protection principles, and complies with regulations. The role assumes responsibility for a designated area and provides clinical instruction as appropriate. The technologist follows Corewell Health’s Patient and Family Centered Care philosophy at all times.

Corewell Health Farmington Hills Hospital is a 305-bed teaching facility with Level II trauma status. The position is part time, with 32 scheduled hours per week and variable hours and days. Weekday hours are 1:30 p.m.–11:30 p.m.; weekend rotation hours are 9 p.m.–7 a.m., with every other weekend worked.

Requirements

• Graduate of a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT)-accredited Radiography program.
• Training gained at the student level.
• ARRT Radiologic Technologist registration required within 180 days.
• ARRT Radiographer (R) credential required upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required upon hire.
