Radiology Technologist - Atrium Health CMC Main FT Evenings
About The Position
The Radiology Technologist position at Atrium Health CMC Main is a full-time role, working evenings. The primary responsibilities include performing and assisting with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, accurately documenting patient history, confirming patient identification, and preparing and administering contrast media. The technologist will also consult with radiologists and other physicians as needed, operate equipment, demonstrate correct anatomic positioning skills, and maintain departmental records. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 12:30 to 23:00, with one rotating day off per week. The role requires participation in an on-call rotation and holiday rotation.
Requirements
- Graduate of an institution accredited by an agency that ARRT recognizes in Radiologic Technology.
- Must be registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire date.
- CPR certification.
- Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and demonstrates the skills and competency appropriate to the ages, culture, developmental stages, and special needs of the patient population served.
Responsibilities
- Performs and assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
- Documents patient history pertaining to specific procedure on requisition submitted by physician.
- Confirms patient identification by verbal confirmation and validating proof of identity.
- Prepares and administers contrast media as .
- Consults with radiologist and other physicians as necessary.
- Selects and operates equipment as dictated by demands of individual procedure and demonstrates correct and adequate anatomic positioning skills.
- Maintains appropriate records as required by departmental standards.
