About The Position
This position is for a Radiology Technologist (R.T.) at the Neurosurgery and Spine Clinic within the WFBMG Wake Forest Health Network in Greensboro, NC. The role involves performing and assisting with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, documenting patient history, confirming patient identification, preparing and administering contrast media, consulting with physicians, operating equipment, and maintaining appropriate records. The technologist must demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles and skills appropriate to the patient population served.
Requirements
- Graduate of an institution accredited by an agency that ARRT recognizes in Radiologic Technology
- Must be registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire date.
- BLS required

Responsibilities
- Performs and assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
- Documents patient history pertaining to specific procedure on requisition submitted by physician.
- Confirms patient identification by verbal confirmation and validating proof of identity.
- Prepares and administers contrast media as required.
- Consults with radiologist and other physicians as necessary.
- Selects and operates equipment as dictated by demands of individual procedure and demonstrates correct and adequate anatomic positioning skills.
- Maintains appropriate records as required by departmental standards.
