This includes educating patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation. The technologist prepares equipment and supplies, selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters, and implements safety standards and quality control procedures. They troubleshoot and report equipment malfunctions, position patients, perform imaging procedures, analyze results, and identify issues with image quality, taking appropriate action to resolve them. Finally, they enter, transmit, and report scan results.
