About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Radiology Technologist for an exciting travel or local job in Falmouth, MA. This role involves preparing patients, setting up imaging equipment, and performing radiographic and ultrasound examinations. The technologist will select appropriate equipment, review patient history, position patients, and explain procedures to ensure patient comfort and safety. They will also evaluate image quality, maintain records, assist physicians, manage supplies, and adhere to all safety and departmental policies. Participation in continuing education and maintaining patient confidentiality are also key aspects of this position.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (e.g., Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology)
  • Registered or registry-eligible with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Current state licensure (Massachusetts)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Strong communication and patient care skills

  • Knowledge of ultrasound imaging procedures preferred
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality patient care

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients and set up imaging equipment for radiographic and ultrasound examinations
  • Select appropriate transducers and imaging parameters based on exam requirements
  • Review patient history and clinical data to support diagnostic accuracy
  • Position patients and adjust immobilization devices to obtain optimal imaging views
  • Explain procedures to patients, addressing concerns to ensure comfort and cooperation
  • Monitor patient safety and well-being during imaging procedures
  • Evaluate images for technical quality and ensure proper labeling and documentation
  • Maintain accurate radiology records in compliance with department standards
  • Assist physicians during specialized procedures, including ultrasound-guided biopsies
  • Coordinate workflow to ensure efficiency and timely completion of studies
  • Manage supplies, equipment maintenance, and service requests as needed
  • Adhere to infection control, safety, and departmental policies and procedures
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development activities
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all interactions
