About The Position
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Radiology Tech / X-ray Tech for an exciting travel or local job in Falmouth, MA. This is a 13-week contract position with the potential to become permanent. The role involves performing radiographic and ultrasound imaging procedures, selecting appropriate transducers, positioning patients, evaluating image quality, assisting physicians during special procedures, preparing patients, explaining procedures, addressing patient concerns, monitoring patient safety, and maintaining accurate records. Compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control is essential.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Graduate of JRCERT accredited Radiologic Technology Program
- Registered or registry eligible with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Active Massachusetts State License required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required
- English proficiency (Read, Write, Speak)
Responsibilities
- Perform radiographic and ultrasound imaging procedures as per physician orders
- Select appropriate transducers (type and frequency) for examinations
- Position patients and use immobilization devices for optimal imaging
- Evaluate images for technical quality and accuracy
- Assist physicians during special procedures such as needle biopsies
- Prepare patients and explain procedures clearly
- Address patient concerns to ensure cooperation and comfort
- Monitor patient safety during imaging procedures
- Maintain accurate radiology records and properly label all images
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control
