As a Radiology Technologist, you'll work with advanced imaging technology, perform a variety of diagnostic procedures, and play a vital role in delivering safe, compassionate, and high-quality care.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Allied Health (Required)
  • Graduate of an approved technical, professional, or vocational program (Required)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Ohio Department of Health - Ohio Radiologic License (Required)
  • ARRT - Radiographer (Required)

Responsibilities

  • Performs radiographic procedures to assist in the diagnosis of disease and injuries.
  • Performs multifaceted services such as Fluoroscopy, OR, ERCP, Digital Radiography, Portable x-ray equipment, Dexa Scans, etc.
  • Produces quality images with the lowest possible radiation exposure to the patient.
  • Performs quality radiographic procedures as prescribed by a physician and in accordance with department policies and procedures.
  • Works effectively with patients and families to provide patient care.
  • Maintains a cooperative relationship with interdepartmental team members.
  • Complies with infection prevention procedures.
  • Maintains accurate records.
  • Ensures radiation safety.
  • Assists with student education and orientation of new employees.
  • Participates in quality assurance.
  • Cares for equipment.
  • Meets minimum continuing educational requirements established by the state of Ohio.
  • Maintains ARRT and ODH licensure.
  • Demonstrates ongoing CBE's.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of equipment and its operating procedures through CBE's.
  • Selects proper imaging protocols and follows departmental procedures.
  • Demonstrates organizational and communication skills to promote the well-being of the department.
  • Demonstrates the ability to consistently produce and evaluate diagnostic radiographs for radiological interpretation.
  • Maintains accurate records through the completion of all paperwork.
  • Provides for patient, family, and staff comfort and care prior to, during, and after a procedure.
  • Recognizes and responds appropriately to emergent situations.
