About The Position

The Radiology Technologist independently performs diagnostic radiographic procedures utilizing proper techniques and administration of contrast media. They work under their scope of practice and in accordance with certificate/licensure in the administration of medications, operation of equipment, and venipuncture. This role coordinates patient flow and the activities of the Radiology Department, exercising professional judgment to maintain equipment in good working condition. The technologist may perform procedures in other imaging modalities based on departmental needs and may have on-call responsibilities.

Requirements

Associate degree in Allied Health, with a major in Radiologic Technology.
CPR Certification required within 30 days of hire.
ARRT RT (R) registry required.
ODH licensure required.
No prior job-related work experience required.
Proficient in Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
Proficient in Radiology Information System (RIS) and Image Storage.
Knowledge of radiation safety.
Must be able to push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds.
May be exposed to aggressive, violent behaviors from patients, family members, and/or visitors.
May be exposed to blood and body fluids, including those with tuberculosis, HIV, hepatitis, or body infestations.
Must be able to work under stressful conditions which may occur in emergency situations or with a heavy workload.
Exposed to ionizing radiation.
