About The Position

OakLeaf Clinics - Imaging is seeking a casual Radiology Technologist that specialize in X-Ray to join our expanding healthcare and imaging team! OakLeaf Clinics is dedicated to providing our patients with compassion, trust, and a lifetime of individualized care. Our healthcare team consists of physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, dietitians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and medical assistants working in concert with laboratory/imaging services to offer individualized care to the Chippewa Valley.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a School of Radiologic Technology
  • AART Radiography (R) certification
  • Wisconsin Radiologic License
  • BLS from the American Heart Association
  • Medical terminology knowledge and understanding of patient care notes
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Detail-oriented and accurate
  • Passionate about providing patient-focused care
  • Ability to multitask with attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • New graduates welcome; two years of clinical experience
  • Prior Epic experience

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and advanced diagnostic radiographic examinations per physician orders and established protocols
  • Review imaging orders for accuracy, completeness, and clinical relevance
  • Determine exam priority based on patient condition and clinical urgency
  • Position patients correctly to obtain diagnostic-quality images while maintaining safety and comfort
  • Transfer patients safely to and from beds, carts, and wheelchairs using proper techniques
  • Select appropriate imaging equipment and exposure factors to optimize image quality and minimize radiation dose
  • Critique images for diagnostic adequacy and repeat studies when necessary
  • Initiate and maintain IV access when required and within the scope of training
  • Ensure proper patient identification using two identifiers prior to imaging
  • Maintains compliance with radiation safety, infection control, and departmental policies
  • Operate PACS and RIS systems to manage image storage, transfer, and documentation
  • Prepare imaging rooms, clean and disinfect equipment, and restock supplies
  • Perform routine equipment checks and report malfunctions to the appropriate lead
  • Assist with scheduling, patient intake, chart preparation, and retrieval of prior studies as needed
  • Use workload fluctuations to complete administrative and quality improvement tasks
  • Maintain required licensure and certifications, and participate in ongoing education
  • Rotate between imaging areas as needed to support departmental coverage
  • Maintain patient confidentiality
  • Complete other duties as assigned
  • Work a flexible schedule within the clinic or department hours based on clinical demand or need
