Requirements
- ARRT certification in Radiography (R) required
- Valid state licensure current (where required)
- BLS certification current or in progress
- Associate's degree or certificate in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program
- Proficiency in PACS, RIS, and EMR systems
- Working knowledge of ALARA and radiation safety principles
- Strong communication skills with patients, physicians, and teammates
- Ability to manage workflow with minimal supervision
- Willingness to mentor students and contribute to a positive clinical culture
Nice To Haves
- 1–2 years of X-ray experience preferred
- Outpatient or ambulatory care experience a plus
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray exams with correct technique and positioning.
- Evaluate own images for technical quality and produce diagnostic-grade results.
- Apply ALARA radiation safety principles.
- Maintain clean, complete, real-time documentation.
- Manage own workflow and keep room ready.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Adapt to a high-volume schedule and prioritize tasks under minimal supervision.
- Provide proper patient positioning and clear explanations of procedures.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety.
- Maintain infection control standards.
- Mentor students by modeling best practices and providing hands-on guidance.
