About The Position

This position provides technologist coverage for 24-hour emergency endovascular surgical services. The Radiology Technologist performs or assists in performing procedures and/or diagnostic tests and/or therapeutic exams, as well as maintains files and compiles records according to procedure as required for accurate and current departmental records and/or reports. They also provide instruction, education and consultation to health care personnel and patients to promote and improve quality patient care and maintains appropriate education/credentials to accomplish work objectives. Additionally, the technologist performs routine analysis on imaging equipment to assure proper working conditions and a minimum of downtime, and ensures readiness of emergency equipment and supplies, recognizing and reacting appropriately to potential emergency situations.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree from an approved school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Completion of Special Procedures Training Program or one year experience as a technologist in Special Procedures.
  • Completion of one week sterile technique training program to be provided by the OR education coordinator, if no prior Special Procedures experience or with surgical technique
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) required.
  • CPR certification required - BLS.
  • Good oral, written, and listening communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize clinical responsibilities
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer systems
  • Knowledge of vascular anatomy

Nice To Haves

  • Registered Cardiovascular-Interventional Technologist ( ARRT- CV or VI) preferred.
