This role includes the exciting opportunity provide care in Cleveland Clinic Main Campus’ new Neurological Institute. This new, one-million-square-foot, 15-floor, state-of-the-art facility is designed to elevate care for complex neurological conditions — including spine injuries, epileptic seizures, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis and stroke. In addition to working in the new Neurological Institute, caregivers in this role will have the opportunity to provide patient care in additional areas across Cleveland Clinic Main Campus, including Cardiac, Digestive Disease, Medical-Surgical and more. Radiology Technologists use x-ray equipment to obtain images of the body interpreted by a Radiologist and are responsible for preparing patients for the exam, moving and instructing the patient into the proper position, correctly operating the equipment, and obtaining a high-quality image while minimizing radiation dose to the patient. Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology
Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and in good standing
Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross
Knowledge of anatomy and related pathologic processes

Responsibilities

Perform radiology exams and fluoroscopic procedures on patients of all ages.
Perform ED/surgical procedures (trauma cases, fluoroscopic exams to include vascular, general medicine, ortho, cardiac, GI, GU, neuro, pediatrics, and general procedures) in a sterile environment.
Produce images of optimal quality for interpretation with accuracy and without delay.
Provide verbal and written instructions to patients and families on procedures as needed.
Assist in scheduling patients.
Monitor and determine priority of patients.
Ensure patients' safety and comfort during and after the exam.
Demonstrate the care and operation of radiography equipment according to technical specifications and applications.
Assist Radiologists, physicians and surgeons with procedures.
Have knowledge of acquiring, archiving, transmitting, and printing images via PACS.
Have knowledge of billing via RIS.
Maintain documentation requirements to ensure that all technical data is entered timely and accurately.
Provide instruction/mentoring to new hires and radiology students.
Continually strive to learn new technical information and skills through attending periodic in-service programs and participating in professional affiliation sessions.
Rotate through all diagnostic imaging modalities and locations as needed.
