The Radiologic Technologist performs prescribed radiographic procedures in accordance with department/facility policies, procedures, and protocols, ensuring optimal care/treatment to the patient population. This position requires independent judgment and the application of learned methodologies according to established policy and procedures.

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree from a certified Radiologic Technology program.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, ability to quickly learn medical software system, and similar computer applications.
• Valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification, required. Must be in good standings.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, required.
• Core competencies in job knowledge, teamwork, communication, quality, safety and security, and confidentiality.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willing to travel to multiple locations.

Nice To Haves

• One year experience in imaging in similar setting, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures correct patient and exam identification.
• Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment, and exam to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Positions patient to achieve a high level of image quality and performs diagnostic procedures as required.
• Takes appropriate action to resolve imaging quality issues.
• Is proficient in the technical operation of all diagnostic equipment; uses proper care in handling equipment.
• Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.
