About The Position

The Radiology Technologist Assistant supports the Radiology team by using the Radiology Information System, applying basic computer skills, and communicating effectively. The role assists with patient transportation and department readiness, and helps ensure Imaging areas are stocked and organized. This position is PRN at Perrysburg Medical Center.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• BLS Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association; certification must be obtained from an approved source before providing direct patient care.

Nice To Haves

• One year of patient care experience.
• Experience with a Radiology Information System.
• EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) training.
• Picture archiving communication system (PACS) training.

Responsibilities

• Organize rooms and stock, change, and properly remove linen.
• Use two patient identifiers before transporting patients to and from Radiology, except patients requiring a patient monitor or high-flow oxygen.
• Properly operate stretchers, patient beds, and wheelchairs.
• Review daily department schedules to work efficiently with Radiologic team members.
• Maintain office and medical supplies in all Imaging areas and inform the team leader when supplies need to be ordered.
• Perform other duties deemed necessary for department operations.
