About The Position

The Radiologic Technologist performs intraoperative fluoroscopic imaging using C-arm technology to support outpatient surgical procedures. The role also assists with preoperative imaging assessments and setup, ensures equipment calibration and maintenance, and documents C-arm procedures. The position contributes to patient safety and surgical efficiency across three operating rooms at Horizon Surgery Center Beaches, an ambulatory surgery center specializing in Orthopedic Hand, General Surgery, and Neuro-Spine procedures. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, for 30–40 hours per week. The position is open due to continued growth.

Requirements

Associate’s degree in Applied Science (Radiologic Technology) or equivalent.
A.A.R.T. certification.
Current BLS certification.
At least 6 months of interventional radiologic experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and EMR systems.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Two or more years of interventional radiologic experience preferred.
Experience in a surgical or outpatient setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform fluoroscopy (C-arm) procedures during surgeries according to physician requirements and safety standards.
Assist with preoperative assessments and imaging setup.
Ensure imaging equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
Maintain accurate logs of C-arm procedures.
Monitor and enforce radiation safety protocols for patients and staff.
Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and the perioperative team to support surgical outcomes.
Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives.
Respond competently and calmly to emergency situations.
Support a respectful, safe, and compassionate patient experience.
Help turn over operating rooms and position patients.
Know how to open a sterile field, with the potential to scrub into cases.
