About The Position

The Radiology Technician provides clinical and administrative support in Marathon Health’s on-site medical clinics. This role involves directly assisting the on-site provider with day-to-day operations, managing patient intake and clinic workflow, and performing various clinical procedures. The technician will also be responsible for maintaining site paperwork, working with the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, and ensuring patient confidentiality. Additionally, they will schedule and coordinate patient appointments, prepare and operate X-ray equipment, maintain quality logs, prepare examination rooms, explain procedures to patients, position and monitor patients during imaging exams, and manage equipment maintenance and supply inventories.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited radiologic technology training program and radiology tech certification required.
  • Associates degree plus at least 2 years’ experience preferred as a radiology technician, ideally in primary care, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Directly assist the on-site provider with day-to-day operations; manage patient intake and clinic workflow
  • Perform in-office EKG testing, deliver other clinical procedures as directed by On-Site Physicians and Mid-Level Practitioners including injections, phlebotomy services and administrating TB skin tests.
  • Maintain site paperwork; work on Electronic Medical Record (EMR) entering patient information and maintain confidentiality of patients and their records
  • Schedule and coordinate patient appointments and outside referrals
  • Prepare equipment for use as needed; operate X-ray machine & practice X-ray techniques within scope
  • Know and apply appropriate codes for x-ray services; maintain quality improvement logs & checks
  • Preparing examination rooms for patient exams, explain procedures to patients and answer questions.
  • Position & monitor patients during imaging exams.
  • Ensure operation of radiology equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; call for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluate new equipment and techniques
  • Maintain radiology supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies
