About The Position

Positions imaging equipment and adjusts controls to set voltage, current, exposure time and distance in accordance with the specifications of the examinations ordered by the providers. Collaborates with Care Team personnel to provide timely and quality services. Reviews and evaluates computer-generated information to determine if images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes. Explains procedures and observes patients to ensure safety and comfort during scan. Demonstrates strong working knowledge of physiology and anatomy to capture proper views of the affected areas as described by the provider orders. Assists in the identification of problems and submits recommendations to Technical Supervisor and Clinic Services Manager. Interprets statutes, rules, policies, and regulations regarding radiation safety as required. Responsible for the proper maintenance of all records relating to licensing and registration of radiation producing machines. Provides and schedules preventive maintenance to equipment and monitors its operation. Maintains complete and accurate medical records to ensure access to records that facilitate continuity of care for patients. Participates in the standardization of imaging services policies and procedures.
