About The Position

The Radiologic Technologist Trainee Program is for individuals who are 6-8 months away from graduation from a JCERT certified program. Trainees must commit to a minimum of six shifts every six weeks and hold an active BLS and WA state Radiologic Technician license. Upon successful completion of the program, if offered a position, you will be a per diem employee of MultiCare. The Radiologic Technologist performs a full range of diagnostic imaging examinations in accordance with established departmental guidelines, utilizing fixed imaging equipment, portable radiography, and fluoroscopic systems to support trauma imaging, operating room cases, and routine diagnostic exams. This role functions as a clinical role model and resource within the hospital, demonstrating the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Requirements

  • 6-8 months away from graduation
  • Can commit to a minimum of six shifts, every six weeks
  • Have an active BLS
  • In good standing in a JCERT certified program
  • Hold an active WA state Radiologic Technician license
  • Graduate or eligible for graduation with an AA degree from accredited Imaging program or equivalent
  • Eligible to take ARRT registry or enrolled in an ARRT accredited program.
  • Must obtain ARRT RT(R) within 12 months of hire.
  • Washington State license as X-Ray Technician (XT license) required
  • BLS Certification

Nice To Haves

  • Two letters of recommendation will be required for applicants who have not completed clinical rotations with MultiCare Health system.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a broad range of diagnostic radiology exams using fixed, portable, and fluoroscopic imaging equipment
  • May support trauma imaging, operating room cases, as well as routine diagnostic studies
  • Ensure imaging exams are completed in accordance with established departmental policies and clinical guidelines
  • Serve as a clinical resource and role model, working effectively both independently and as part of the care team
