About The Position

Carilion Clinic is hiring a Radiology Tech to work as a CVT in the Electrophysiology Lab at a Level 1 Trauma Center in Roanoke, Virginia. The lab is located in the newly built Crystal Springs Tower, home to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital’s Cardiovascular Institute and expanded Emergency Department. The lab performs state-of-the-art procedures, including cardiac ablations, pacemaker and defibrillator implantations, electrophysiology studies, and treatments for arrhythmias. The role offers an individualized orientation, self-scheduling, and opportunities for advancement and certification. A clinical ladder provides a path to RCES, with educational support and training to advance within one year. A sign-on bonus of up to $30,000 and relocation allowance are available.

Requirements

Graduate of an Allied Health Profession School (RTR, RT).
Current credential as one of the following: RCIS, RCES, RT(R), RRT, or CRT.
AHS BLS-HCP required; obtain and maintain AHA BLS as required by the work unit.
Successfully complete AHA ACLS within six months of hire and maintain current status.
Effective interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
Successfully complete orientation and competency validation for the position.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, or Electrophysiology is preferred.
Background in electrophysiology.

Responsibilities

Support electrophysiology procedures and patient care in the EP Lab.
Successfully complete orientation and competency validation for the position.
Obtain and maintain required life-support certifications, including ACLS within six months of hire.
