Radiology Tech - EP Lab
About The Position
Carilion Clinic is seeking a Radiology Tech to work as a CVT in the Electrophysiology Lab at its Level 1 Trauma Center in Roanoke, Virginia. The role supports state-of-the-art electrophysiology procedures, including cardiac ablations, pacemaker and defibrillator implantations, and treatment of arrhythmias. The lab is located in the newly built Crystal Springs Tower, which houses Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital’s Cardiovascular Institute and an expanded Emergency Department. The position offers an individualized orientation, self-scheduling, professional development and advancement opportunities, and educational support and training to advance toward RCES within one year. A sign-on bonus of up to $30,000 and relocation allowance are available. The position has a day shift and does not require weekends, holidays, or on-call shifts.
Requirements
- Graduate of an Allied Health Profession School (RTR, RT).
- Current certification or registration as one of the following: RCIS, RCES, RT(R), RRT, or CRT.
- AHS BLS-HCP required; must obtain and maintain AHA BLS based on the specific work unit.
- Must successfully complete AHA ACLS within six months of hire and maintain current status.
- Effective interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Must successfully complete orientation and competency validation for the position.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, or Electrophysiology.
- Strong background in electrophysiology.
Responsibilities
- Support electrophysiology lab procedures, including pacemaker and defibrillator implantations, cardiac ablations, EP studies, and cardioversions.
- Contribute to patient care during procedures and treatments for arrhythmias and related cardiac conditions.
- Complete position orientation and competency validation.
