Radiology Tech - Day Shift
About The Position
Arranges patients for radiological examinations Produces radiographs (x-rays) to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems Prevents patient from being exposed to unnecessary radiation Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job Works under immediate supervision A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required The Radiologic Technologist assigned to the Perioperative Department reports directly to the Director of Perioperative Services for daily operational responsibilities. Professional practice standards, imaging protocols, and regulatory compliance will be maintained in collaboration with and under the professional oversight of the Director of Radiology/Imaging Services.
Requirements
- Associate's degree from an accredited program required; bachelor's degree preferred
- Registration as a technologist by the A.R.R.T. required
- Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
- 3+ years of experience preferred
- 1-2 years of Orthopedic experience preferred
