About The Position
As a Radiology Technologist working in our West Des Moines Urgent Injury office, you will obtain x-ray images for patients walking into the Urgent Injury Clinic. You will be joined by caring providers and Ortho Techs. Together, you will be part of creating a comfortable patient experience, ensuring patients get their questions answered and understands their journey to healing. This position will support the West Des Moines office. Our hours of operation are Monday - Thursday, 10AM - 6PM, Friday, 10AM - 5PM and rotating Saturdays (with incentive pay) 8AM-12PM.
Requirements
- A permit to practice in the state of Iowa as a Radiology Technologist.
- An active ARRT certification.
- Ability to communicate calmly and provide reassurance when patients are nervous.
- Ability to listen, ask questions, and avoid interrupting your patient.
- Ability to work independently and know when to ask for help.

Responsibilities
- Obtain x-ray images for patients walking into the Urgent Injury Clinic.
- Greet and prepare patients for their x-ray exam.
- Operate the x-ray machine to capture high-quality images.
- Review images and make any necessary adjustments before sending them to the physician.
- Ask questions of the care team if any clarification is needed.
