About The Position

As a Radiology Technologist working in our West Des Moines Urgent Injury office, you will obtain x-ray images for patients walking into the Urgent Injury Clinic. You will be joined by caring providers and Ortho Techs. Together, you will be part of creating a comfortable patient experience, ensuring patients get their questions answered and understand their journey to healing. This position will support the West Des Moines office. Our hours of operation are Monday - Thursday, 10AM - 6PM, Friday, 10AM - 5PM and rotating Saturdays (with incentive pay) 8AM-12PM. You’ll be on your feet most of the day greeting and preparing patients for their x-ray exam before operating the x-ray machine to capture high-quality images. You are the patient's kind guide and reliable helper during their appointment. Review images and make any necessary adjustments before sending them to the physician. This is a private practice where you’ll have access to ask questions of the care team if you need any clarification. Requirements

A Permit to Practice (in Iowa) as a Radiology Technologist
An active ARRT certification
Ability to communicate calmly and provide reassurance when patients are nervous.
Ability to listen, ask questions, and avoid interrupting your patient.
Ability to work independently and know when to ask for help.

Responsibilities

Obtain x-ray images for patients walking into the Urgent Injury Clinic.
Greet and prepare patients for their x-ray exam.
Operate the x-ray machine to capture high-quality images.
Review images and make any necessary adjustments before sending them to the physician.
