About The Position
A registered professional technologist who performs diagnostic radiologic services for hospital patients and outpatients referred from clinics or physicians’ offices. This PRN weekend position includes an on-call weekend package of $1,000 for working the entire shift. On-call begins Friday at 5:00 p.m. and ends Monday at 7:00 a.m. The technologist must work at least one weekend per quarter and remain within 30 minutes of the facility during call weekends; rooms are available onsite. Additional hours may be available as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a Radiologic Technology program.
- ARRT board certification or eligibility to sit for boards.
- Iowa Permit to Practice.
- Good communication skills and flexibility in scheduling.
- Ability to multitask.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to continuously lift more than 60 pounds, including helping patients onto an x-ray table.
- Good vision and verbal skills.
- Ability to perform well under pressure and cope with a variety of situations.
- Willingness to work on-call weekends.
Nice To Haves
- CT experience.
- Mammography experience.
