The Radiology Technologist Trainee Program is designed for individuals who are within 3-6 months of graduation from a JCERT certified program. This program requires a commitment of at least six shifts every six weeks and a valid BLS certification. Trainees will work under the supervision of the department leadership of Imaging Services, performing general radiography imaging studies. The role involves following established policies and procedures to provide patient care, ensuring patient comfort and safety, and recognizing and reporting patient needs. The scope of practice is limited to exams where proficiency has been demonstrated and is within the parameters of licensure. Upon successful completion of the program, the trainee is expected to obtain ARRT registry and Washington State license as an X-Ray Technician (XT license) within 12 months of hire.
