About The Position

The Radiology Technologist Trainee Program is designed for individuals who are 3-6 months away from graduation from a JCERT certified program. This program requires a commitment of at least six shifts every six weeks and a valid BLS certification. Participants must hold an active WA state Radiologic Technician license. Upon successful completion of the program, if offered a position, the individual will be a per diem employee of MultiCare. This role involves performing general radiology imaging studies under supervision, requiring independent judgment and initiative to provide comprehensive and compassionate imaging care. The scope of practice is limited to exams where proficiency has been demonstrated and within licensure parameters.

Requirements

Eligible to take ARRT registry or enrolled in an ARRT accredited program.
Must obtain ARRT RT(R) within 12 months of hire.
Washington State license as X-Ray Technician (XT license) required.
3-6 months away from graduation.
Can commit to a minimum of six shifts, every six weeks.
Have an active BLS.
In good standing in a JCERT certified program.
Hold an active WA state Radiologic Technician license.
Two letters of recommendation will be required for applicants who have not completed clinical rotations with MultiCare Health system.

Responsibilities

Perform general radiography imaging studies under the supervision of department leadership of Imaging Services.
Follow policies and procedures while providing patient care activities and related non-professional services for the comfort of patients and families.
Recognize and report patient needs to create a safe and comfortable patient care environment.
