About The Position
The Radiology Tech performs and produces/prepares evaluation documentation of diagnostic radiographics. Assists in transporting patients to radiographic room as well as preparing and maintaining radiographic room and work area.
Requirements
- High School graduate, completion of AMA approved X-ray training school required.
- Must have and maintain current licensure as a radiographer in the State of Rhode Island.
- Registration through the American Registry for Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required.
- Must be proficient in the English language.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates competency, individually and as part of the multidisciplinary team, in performing clinical care and assessment of all patient populations.
- Demonstrates expertise in use and development of film.
- Prepares reports and documentation as required or directed.
- Correctly uses Olicon Imaging system as required.
- Safely transports all patient populations to radiographic room and assists patients during the x-ray process.
- Maintains equipment and work areas.
- Assists in various support activities for department.
- Enhances professional growth.
- Preserves and protects patient rights to confidentiality.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
