About The Position

Sherman Oaks Hospital is seeking a Radiology Tech II to perform diagnostic imaging procedures according to department protocols. The role is a first-line interface with customers and helps meet their imaging needs. The technologist participates in quality improvement and quality control activities, helps maintain the Performance Improvement Program, oversees the radiology area and/or staff in the Manager’s or Director’s absence, and maintains department supplies. The position also supports teamwork and customer service, schedules assigned subdepartments, maintains their supplies and equipment, and processes and transmits images to PACS.

Requirements

Hold a license and fluoroscopy permit as required by the state.
Appropriate national certifications in two modalities are required.
Hold current BCLS certification from the AHA.
Be familiar with state and federal regulations.
Have proficient computer skills.

Nice To Haves

One year of acute clinical radiography experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic radiography, CT, mammography, bone density, ultrasound, or special procedures according to department protocols.
Serve as the first-line interface with customers and help accomplish their imaging needs.
Participate in PI/QC activities and assist in maintaining the Performance Improvement Program.
Oversee the radiology area and/or staff in the Manager’s or Director’s absence.
Maintain department supplies.
Promote teamwork and good customer service.
Schedule activities for assigned subdepartments and maintain their supplies and equipment.
Process and transmit images to PACS.
