About The Position

The Radiology Extern is a student enrolled in a professional JRC Radiology accredited education program and wishes to acquire experiential learning opportunities to practice skills they have learned in their academic program under the direct supervision of the Registered Radiologic Technologist. Must obtain ARRT registry and FL Department of Health State License General Radiographer within six months of graduation.

Requirements

• High School graduate including ability to read, write, and working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Current enrollment in JRC Radiology accredited education program for one year.
• AHA Healthcare provider BLS.
• Proficiency in computer skills.
• English verbal and written fluency.
• Letter of recommendation from faculty member of school in attendance.

Responsibilities

• Practice skills learned in academic program under direct supervision of Registered Radiologic Technologist.
• Obtain ARRT registry and FL Department of Health State License General Radiographer within six months of graduation.
