About The Position
Radiology Extern at Havasu Regional Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health. This role is per diem/PRN and focuses on performing various imaging procedures, educating patients, assisting with exams in multiple modalities, performing clerical duties, preparing equipment, and transporting patients. Requirements
- Current 2nd year student of a program of discipline.
- Basic Life Support.
- Radiation Operator licensed through the state Board of Radiology, ARRT within 12 months of graduation.
Responsibilities
- Perform various imaging procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
- Review patient history and physician’s orders.
- Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams to ensure patient’s understanding and cooperation.
- Assist with imaging exams in multiple modalities.
- Perform various clerical duties and assist with diagnostic exams.
- Prepare equipment and supplies.
- Transport patients.
