About The Position

This position supervises the daily operations of Diagnostic Radiology and the File/Scan Room. The role involves taking radiographs and performing routine fluoroscopic exams. The supervisor serves as a point of contact for staff, physicians, and management. Requirements

  • 4 years radiology experience
  • Associate's degree
  • ARRT required
  • RTL required
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certification (ARRT)
  • Radiologic Technologist License (RTL) - Arkansas Department of Health

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Lead experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversees routine equipment maintenance, quality assurance tests, and reports unscheduled down time to manager.
  • Utilizes technical expertise to aid in planning process for capital equipment and minor equipment acquisitions and supplies.
  • Assists in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and evaluating staff.
  • Oversees quality control activities and performance improvement projects in work area.
  • Ensures correct patient, diagnosis and exam and demonstrating proper positioning and use of radiographic equipment.
  • Addresses image quality issues.
  • Manages day-to-day patient flow and delegates work to technologists and/or imaging assistants.
  • Demonstrates proper patient screening, adequately explains exam/procedures, and encourages at least one family member to be present during exams.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
