About The Position

Facilitate High-Quality Procedural Care: Manage a diverse caseload in an outpatient imaging environment, focusing on pre- and post-procedural nursing care, conscious sedation monitoring, and patient safety during advanced diagnostic imaging (MRI, CT, Ultrasound, and Interventional Radiology). Build Meaningful Patient Relationships: Provide vital clinical support, patient education, and compassionate reassurance to patients navigating complex diagnostic procedures and specialized imaging paths. Utilize Specialized Clinical Space: Work in a modern, fully equipped medical imaging department alongside leading radiologists, utilizing advanced technology and evidence-based nursing interventions.

Requirements

  • Current and valid state RN License.
  • Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • Current ACLS Certification 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
  • Conscious Sedation Monitoring competency within 30 days upon hire and maintain current.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Radiology Nurse (CRN) preferred.
  • One (1) year of acute clinical Radiology Nursing experience preferred.
  • Ventilator Management experience preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • The Radiology Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process.
  • The Radiology Registered Nurse provides direct patient care within the scope of practice.
  • The Radiology Nurse works collaboratively within a multi-disciplinarily team and is responsible for providing the highest quality nursing care and service excellence in the continuum of care.
  • The Radiology Registered Nurse works in support of the Radiologist, providing assistance in the performance of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • Assists with the maintenance of equipment and inventory.
  • Assesses procedure room or equipment functioning and readiness.
  • Responsible for adherence to regulations, standards and hospital or unit policies and procedures and participation in Performance Improvement activities, department meetings and in-services.
  • Acts as a resource for other personnel as appropriate.
