Detroit Medical Center's physician group is building something meaningful — a dedicated breast imaging service rooted in academic excellence, resident education, and quality-driven care under new leadership. You'll read cases across a six-hospital enterprise that includes a Level I trauma center and a pediatric hospital, all without carrying call. This is a rare opportunity to practice at the intersection of clinical depth and teaching, with the stability of a major academic health system behind you. The position is part-time (.5 to 0.7 FTE) and located on-site at Sinai Grace Hospital. There is no call or weekend work required. The schedule is Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. EST. The average volume is 3 procedures per shift and 40 mammography reads, with cases including screening mammograms (45-50%), diagnostic (25-35%), and procedures (15-25%). The setting is an academic, quality-focused environment across five DMC hospitals in metro Detroit. There is daily resident interaction via the I-Collaborate platform, and the department places a high value on education. The technology used includes Enterprise PACS (Change Healthcare + PowerScribe), with a Sectra transition planned for 2026. The role is open to new graduates and experienced breast imaging physicians. The department is subspecialty-rich, spanning neuroradiology, MSK, body imaging, pediatric radiology, nuclear medicine, breast imaging, and emergency radiology.
