About The Position

Detroit Medical Center's physician group is building a dedicated breast imaging service rooted in academic excellence, resident education, and quality-driven care under new leadership. This role involves reading cases across a six-hospital enterprise, including a Level I trauma center and a pediatric hospital, without carrying call. It offers an opportunity to practice at the intersection of clinical depth and teaching within a major academic health system.

Requirements

• BE/BC by the American Board of Radiology/Diagnostic Radiology and meet MQSA requirements.
• U.S. residency trained.
• Passion for resident teaching and academic medicine.
• Comfort with the pace of an academic environment.

Nice To Haves

• Breast Imaging fellowship preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Read cases across a six-hospital enterprise.
• Interact daily with residents via the I-Collaborate platform.
• Lead quality initiatives, projects, and educational programs.
• Perform screening mammograms (45-50%), diagnostic imaging (25-35%), and procedures (15-25%).
