This position is for a Radiology Interventional Technologist/Special Procedure Tech at our Portland Medical Center in Portland, OR. The role involves engaging in a variety of specialties to create positive outcomes for patients. The medical center has a thriving cardiac/STEMI program, an interventional radiology (IR) program that includes treatment for PE, embolizations, and interventional cancer treatment, and a neuro/Stroke program. The team is empowered to speak up and cultivate processes that directly impact patients' lives. Radiology Interventional Technologists (RITs) working in the CVL play an integral role on four-person teams. RITs operate Philips fluoroscopy units and are trained in setting up and operating various intravascular imaging (Philips IVUS, Abbott OCT), atherectomy equipment (including rotoblator, CSI, Shockwave, and laser), thrombectomy equipment (Penumbra, AngioJet, Inari), and circulating during procedures. The ideal candidate is ambitious, open to growth in the percutaneous interventional treatment field, and excited to help others kindly and compassionately. Under the direct supervision of the physician, the RIT provides Cardiovascular/Radiologic care to patients for diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders, assists the physician as required, and monitors radiation safety during procedures.
